In October, ISA usually sponsors a large University-wide event to raise awareness about a particular global issue or concern. This is a major event for the International Student Association and for the campus.

Another major event sponsored by ISA is UH Hilo's annual International Nights. International Nights is a two-night event that showcases performances from students representing a variety of cultures from throughout the world. It is an opportunity for students to highlight the cultural richness of the UH Hilo campus and community.

Along with these two signature annual events, ISA organizes and sponsors other events, such as trips to various places on the Big Island, barbeques and social gatherings, service projects on campus and/or in the community, and other educational events aimed at increasing the global consciousness of the UH Hilo and surrounding communities.
